The merino wool mini skirt carries that understanding. The navy and red plaid woven through the cloth places it within the collection's plaid stripe clash logic: the check as a shared structural language, present here in its most precise woven form.

The embroidery scattered across the surface — small worked motifs placed at intervals across the plaid ground — draws from the Egungun masquerade costumes in the Archive I reference material, in which embellishment accumulated across an already complete object. Here the accumulation is restrained: individual marks on a structured ground, each one placed rather than covering. The embellishment does not compete with the check. It adds a layer of information.
