Silk Twill Trousers in Scratchy Tweed
Once sold, the edition is closed.
The wide leg in silk twill falls from the waist to the floor in a single uninterrupted movement. In Scratchy Tweed, the print adds its own argument: a surface that looks loomed and drapes as liquid, the eye finding texture where the hand finds none. The contradiction that the print proposes is present across the full length of the garment.
The pattern was developed from a sustained study of handwoven cloth surfaces — the way thread structure accumulates into a visible field at scale. Translated onto twill, it becomes lighter and faster than its source material, changed by the silk that now carries it. The trouser lets it make that argument across the whole body.
Side seam pockets. Engraved button fastening at the waist, commissioned from a Parisian artisan button maker.
