Cotton Drill Coat

Once sold, the edition is closed.

Cotton drill is a working cloth — close-woven, structured, pressed flat by its own construction. It holds a line with authority and wears across the full span of the year. The constructed layered silhouette board in Archive I points consistently toward outer garments that provide the layer of a composed look without requiring the look to organise itself around them. A coat that does what it needs to do, and nothing additional.

The silhouette is straight and long, the collar clean, the fastening concealed. The bespoke engraved tortoiseshell buttons — commissioned from the Parisian button maker responsible for all Archive I hardware — are present at the cuff where the hand reaches for them. The interior is fully lined in Archive I printed silk: the lining as a private fact about the coat, known to the wearer before it is known to anyone else. Built for longevity.
