Pinstripe Wool Trouser

The pinstripe is where the plaid stripe clash study arrives at its most reduced form. Not the bold horizontal bands of the kanga, not the wide graphic blocks of the Swahili cloth, not the optical checks of the woven traditions — but the finest possible iteration: thread-thin, repeating at even intervals, barely perceptible from a distance and fully resolved at arm's length. The stripe at its most concentrated is the stripe at its most formal. That precision is the point.

In 100% pinstriped wool, fully lined in silk, the trouser is cut mid-waist with a straight leg and a pressed crease. The silk lining gives ease of movement that the structure of the wool would not otherwise allow. Clean waistband, concealed fastening. Nothing visible that does not need to be visible. The most understated trouser in the collection and one of the most considered.
