Draped Jersey Gown

A single colour and a single cloth: white jersey with enough weight to fall in ropes rather than folds. There is no print and no surface work — the drape is the pattern, redrawn every time the wearer moves.
The gown is gathered onto ties at each shoulder, the neckline ruched into a deep V that repeats at the back. Between the two points the cloth is left wide, so it drops in loose cowls at the sides before narrowing to a column at the hem. The ties are functional: drawn tighter, the neckline closes and the drape shortens; loosened, the gown falls fuller. It is the logic of a length of cloth tied at the shoulder rather than a garment seamed to the body — the construction is a knot, and everything below it is fall.
